rockets often have stabilizer fins but often no wings. Helicopters have rotors which are a modified wing.

Horse flies fly using wings, just like any other kind of fly.
the wings are curved because it helps them to glide over the ground ( 1 centimeter) to look for bugs and then swoop and eat them without loosing any speed. hope this helped
