I wouldn't get a parrot from petco because a lot of birds at petshops are way overpriced and you don't always know the history of the bird. I would try to contact a breeder. That way you know the true health and genetics of the parrot. Also, a lot of breeders will sell the birds for cheaper than pet shops. Petshops also don't always know the age of the bird. A lot of parrots are also very set in their ways after they become adults, and some of the larger parrots are harder to train once they get attached to another person. I would definitely go with a breeder and get a baby. That way you can bring them up the way you want to and don't have to deal with another person's training.

yes they sell them. they cost around $10 to $20. its been said that they are bad breeders. i 'm not exactly sure. but i found enough info about how they treat animals at PETLAND.
