No, the Mayan calendar is not 5125 solar years. The Mayan calendar consists of different cycles, with one of the most well-known being the Long Count calendar, which spans over 5,000 years. This calendar started on August 11, 3114 BC and is set to end on December 21, 2012.

∙ 11y agoThe accepted version of the calendar goes from 3114bc Gregorian August 11 to 2012as December 21. This is not accepted by all, some start it Aug 10 or Aug 12 or Aug 13 which changes the end of it in our December 20 or 22 or 23. These are not solar years because a solar year is the same date. Even in Julian years this G.Aug 12 is 3114bc Sep 6, as our G.Dec 21 is 2012ad Dec 8. It doesnt bring any truth to saying they are solar years or Sothic years. The truth is they are 5200 years of 360 days; nothing to do with being accurate solar years. ALL lies including Wikipedia where i was told these facts are original (my-own made-up) research. So I posted this at Wikipedia in their TALK section after i got threat messages of banning me. I said --
