Yes, of course...
Work is power which is energy absorption or use over time. No energy, no work regardless of how much time is allowed.
I guess it must mean the actual energy obtainable in an energy transfer. For example in a power station using the Rankine cycle, and burning coal or natural gas, about 40 percent of the thermal energy released by the fuel is converted to electricity, the rest is rejected at a very low temperature and simply is lost to the environment
The energy is transferred [since energy cannot be created nor destroyed]

It is called free energy.
Free Energy
true
Chemical energy
*Energy is the capacity to do work or cause change* Organisms store energy in organic molecules as chemical energy* Free energy is the portion of energy released during chemical reactions that is available to do work* -
Energy is the capacity to do work.
To do work. Without energy, everything would practically be useless
Enzymes function when they lower the activation energy. That means it takes less energy for the reaction to work.

No they do not supply energy to start a chemical reaction, however energy has something to do with it. Enzymes actually lower energy barriers, in other words it reduces the activation energy needed which is the energy absorbed before the chemical reaction can start.
Exergonic reaction - which releases energy
Work and energy use the same units; but the term "work" is used in the sense of "transfer of energy" (amount of energy transferred).
