All gasses can be explained in the Ideal Gas Law which is as follows:

pV=nRT

where p is the absolute pressure of the gas, V is the volume of the gas, n is the number of moles of gas, R is the universal gas constant, T is the absolute temperature.

You could also use the more simple equation:

pV/T = C

where p is the absolute pressure of the gas, V is the volume of the gas, T is the absolute temperature of the gas, C is a constant.

From this we can deduce that with increased temperature you get increased volume in the following way:

(presume P = 1 and C = 1)

when T = 1:

1xV/1 = 1 therefore V = 1

When T = 2:

1xV/2 = 1 therefore V = 2

From the same equation, we can deduce that with increased pressure you get decreased volume in the following way:

(presume T = 1 and C = 1)

when P = 1:

1xV/1 = 1 therefore P = 1

When P = 2:

2xV/1 = 1 therefore P = 0.5

as the temperature increases the partcles gain kinetic energy and begins to collide against the walls of the container with more force. hence pressure increases as the temperature increases the partcles gain kinetic energy and begins to move faster. this causes the gas to expand
