C6H12O6 + 6O2 ----> 6CO2 + 6H2O is the balanced equation of the combustion glucose. Since there are 6 moles of O2 used per 1 mole of glucose, 5/3 of a mole of glucose can be burned from 10 moles of oxygen.

Oxygen (O2) and glucose (C6H12O6) react to form carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H20) through an oxidation/reduction reaction. The reaction is C6H12O6 + 6O2 = 6C02 + 6H20. Therefore, for every 1-mole of glucose 6-moles of oxygen are needed.
