No, this is not a chemical change. It is a physical change because a physical change does not produce a new substance. A change in state like melting, freezing, condensation are physical change.

Any change which doesn't change the composition of the substance is a physical change. When water vapor changes to water( i.e. condenses) it's state changes but it's composition remains the same. it was H2O before the change and remains H2O after the change i.e. it's 1 molecule has 2 atoms of hydrogen and 1 atom of oxygen before and after the change. Besides it's chemical properties also remain same indicating that it was a physical change.

Condensation is a physical change. It's the act of a gas becoming a liquid, which is a change of state of matter. That's always a physical change, because no new substance is formed or produced.

Yes. A physical change is regarded as a change of state, in this case from gas to liquid. It is a reversible change.

Is the condensation of oxygen gas a chemical change or physical change?

It is a physical change.

When ethanol condenses and goes from gaseous state to liquid state is this a physical change or chemical change?

Condensation is a physical change, as the chemical identity of the substance is not altered by condensation.

Condensation of water is a physical change.

Is distillation a chemical change or a physical change?

Distilling involves evaporation and condensation- PHYSICAL changes.

Is steam condenses on a cold window chemical change?

Change in state is a physical change. Condensation is a change in state and is a physical change.

Evaporation a physical change?

Yes, because it can be reversed by condensation. Physical change = Reversible Chemical change = Irreversible

Is condensing a physical change?

Condensation may be physical or chemical depending on the context. Condensation is a physical change when it refers to the condensation of vapour on being cooled. In chemistry there are condensation reactions where two molecules react to form one larger molecule and these reactions are chemical changes.

Is condensation forming a chemical change?

No, it is a physical change, like boiling, melting and freezing

Is water evaporating and condensation are examples of a chemical change?

no. Those are physical changes.

Is exothermic a physical or a chemical change?

It can be either. Some exothermic processes, such as combustion, are chemical changes while others, such as condensation, are physical.

Is condensation of water a physical or chemical process?

Condensation is a physical phenomenon.

Which is a example of a physical rather then a chemical change?

Freezing/melting or evaporation/condensation, are physical changes that don't affect the chemical nature of the substances.
