1. Systematic classification and ordering of chemical elements
2. Coherence between atomic structure of the elements and the position in the table.
3. Coherence between the chemical and physical properties of the elements and the position in the table.
4. The nucleus gets bigger and bigger along the period
5. The electron shell gets smaller and smaller along the period.

Fibs:
1. the alkali metals are also known as the D-block metals.
- Any more fibs? Please help out I need this too!
The Periodic Table of elements wasn't completely invented by Dimitry Mendeleyev; there were many contributors, and he just wanted to have some credit as a professor after he wasn't recognized somewhere else.
Please change this if you feel necessary; I'm probably not the best source out there, just an eighth grader.
periodic table
Mendeleev found that he could arrange the 65 elements that were then known, in a grid or table so that each element had a higher atomic weight than the one on its left and similar chemical properties to other elements in the same column. In his table he noted gaps - spaces where elements should be but none had yet been discovered In fact just as Adams and LeVerrier could be said to have discovered the plant Neptune on paper, Mendeleev could be said to have discovered silicon, because he observed a gap between silicon and tin, aluminum and boron, on paper, for he predicted their existence and their properties before their actual discoveries.

periodic table
the periodic table was created by a man called Nathan Burley, he attended high school, in england. He made the periodic to look for patterns in chemical elements.

A group in Periodic Table is the column of element in periodic table
It is called the Periodic Table of Elements.
No, it is not on the periodic table.
A period on the periodic table is a row. This is the horizontal section of the periodic table.
There are no compounds on the periodic table. The periodic table only lists elements.
