an electrons and protons were theorised in the late 1800's and proved shortly after, so its not those,
most recent discovery's have been Quarks, Leptons, and Gauge Bosons. to my knowledge these were all theorised around the 1960's and have pretty much all been officially discovered now. the most recent being the Tau Neutrino in 2000. still a few of the Theorised particles to find though, with the Higgs-Boson being the most famous of the elusive particles. now that the LHC is completed, and only repair bills getting in the way, hopefully there should be some new ones to add to the list pretty soon
As of June 2014, the most recently discovered atom is Ununseptium. It has an atomic number of 117 and is not fully recognized. The most recently discovered and recognized atom is Livermorium.
This particle is the neutron - James Chadwick in 1932.
You think probable to neutron (1932).
It was the top quark in 1995.
In the atom: neutron (J. Chadwick, 1932).
Neutron

If you think to particles in the atom: the neutron was discovered in 1932 by James Chadwick.
Rutherford discovered the atomic nucleus and the proton. A short answer for the Rutherford atomic model: the atom is composed from a central part - a nucleus, positively charged, surrounded by electrons - very small negative charged particles.
well, first of all its neils bohr and Rutherford discovered a different part of the atom whereas bohr discovered the electrons

The nuclear atom was discovered by Ernest Rutherford. He did it with a gold foil experiment.
an atom is the basic unit of a chemical element.
Rutherford discovered the atomic nucleus and the proton. Rutherford don't discovered the atom. A short answer for the Rutherford atomic model: the atom is composed from a central part - a nucleus, positively charged, surrounded by electrons - very small negative charged particles.
