Polystyrene is a better insulator. It is often used as insulation on houses.
Of course, zinc is a better conductor (thermal or electrical).
Steel is a good conductor both for heat and for electricity.
For general purposes any material that is of a metallic composition, it will conduct electricity.
wood is better than plastic
Is wood or metal a better conductor
wood
steel
polystyrene along with other porous (objects which have a lot of air in them) such as Styrofoam water, wood and other materials are insulators, not conductors.
No, it's not, though it's better than you might think if you equate polystyrene with Styrofoam. Styrofoam is made of polystyrene, but it's the trapped air that makes it such a good insulator.
It depends if the wood is damp or dry; if damp, then wood is much better - although still much worse than metals. However, if the wood is dried - oven dry is the technical term - then glass and wood are about the same.
It's not the object that matters, but what it's made of . A metal cup will be a very good conductor, and an expanded polystyrene one a very poor conductor.
No
no it is not a electrical conductor

We find that metal is a better conductor of heat than plastic or wood.
Wood is not a good conductor.
iron is a better thermal conductor but i do not know what you mean by identify independent or dependent variables. in an experiment? i am not sure.
Wood is a poor conductor of heat.
Polystyrene is a very poor conductor of heat. This is why its used as an insulator in some products.

Glass has a higher conductivity than thin plastic but,it is still lower than metal so metal may be a better conductor
Wood can not let a light bulb light up because wood is a very poor conductor of electicity. A better conductor would be types of metals such as copper or gold, which is used in many electronics.
