I have tried the "switch off-switch on" solution recommended but the E4 error message (and no heat) reappears every time. I am starting to think that the blanket is defective. One side works; the other side doesn't. I have even tried exchanging the cords from side to side, but the same thing happens again on the faulty side with the new cord. Which makes me think it it the blanket and not the control. There is only one way it can plug into the blanket socket, so it cannot be that.
