The Abominable snowman/'yeti' supposedly lives in regions less than 5 degrees celsius. You could supposedly say they live near the Sherpa people of Mount Everest or the Arctic/Antarctic, though I doubt that you would have a friendly encounter even if you came across one. So if you didn't have a friendly encounter with one, but you fought it off, you would probably be arrested for endangering and maybe even losing hope of finding a mythological and endangered speceis.
