However, on rare occasions, anticyclonic tornadoes form in association with the mesoanticyclone of an anticyclonic supercell, in the same manner as the typical cyclonic tornado, or as a "companion tornado," either as a satellite tornado or associated with anticyclonic eddies within a supercell.
