How do I convince my parents to let me skip a grade?

tell him/her that you are eligible for skipping a grade in terms of your successful level of learning, sophisticated minds, etc. it is best to pass a grade test/exam. ex) if you're in grade 9 and you want to skip to grade 10, write a grade 10 test and if you pass with a high mark, your teacher is likely to see that you are able.

If you are skipping a grade in college, you may want to let them know that a year's worth of tuition will be saved. If you are in any other grade, you could tell them that you will graduate from college and start your career sooner. You could also let them know that you are not being challenged in school, which means you are not getting the best education for the money they spent.

Or - and most importantly - you can shut up. Academics is a part of the grade you are in. Your parents know you better than anyone ever will (except your eventual spouse). The otherpart of the grade you are in is your social age. If you have GOOD parents - and I assume you do - they are the best judge as to whether you are ready to move up to kids a year older than you or not. If they say "not", bite the bullet. You won't regret it in the long run.
