Let us say that you and I meet at a restaurant. You tell me that you don't have any money with you. My inference is that you would like me to buy you lunch. If I do buy you lunch, you can reasonably infer that I like you, or possibly that I want something from you.
Inference is a noun that means conclusion, deduction, or consequence. Example sentence:

He made inferences that I was the one responsible for the damage, but this video will show that he's wrong.
An inference is like guessing a possible phenomena. You just like observing without corresponding action. Ex. When you see that the sky is gray, you can infer that it is likely to rain while in the observation.
