Why do all the greasers fight in the outsiders?

Gresers in general fight for different reasons.

Soda fights for fun, Steve for hatred, Darry for pride, Two-Bit for conformity, and Ponyboy for self-defense. Johnny's reason was never specified in the book but I'm sure it's something like Pony's.

In The Outsiders, The Greasers fight for a sense of pride and superiority. They are low in social class and do not have a lot in their lives, and winning a fight gives them some sense of accomplishment.

The socs thought they were better than the greasers. The greasers were not as rich as the socs, and did not like the fact that the socs acted as if they were better because to the greasers, they were the same kind of Parsons only more shallow.
