It would be a cheap investment but she will definitely treasure it. It will be a symbol of your never ending love.

What you give your girlfriend for any given occasion really depends a) on the occasion and b) what your girlfriend likes. Not all women enjoy jewelry, perfume, flowers, etc. Pay attention to what she likes, what she wears, and try to pay attention to any hints she may be dropping as to what she would like you to get her.

You can get her something that is expensive, and she will probably like it. What is even better with girls though, is something that shows you were paying attention.

My mother in law mentioned once that she had a favorite doll when she was a kid, and she always wondered what happened to it. I found the same one on eBay, and put it back for Christmas.
