What is Ginnie and Carrie's surname in Goodnight Mr Tom?

In chapter 9 "Birthday Boy", it says:

"The twins, George, their mothers, Lucy and her mother and Tom..."

and later in the same chapter it says:

"Mrs Fletcher, Roe Padfield and Mrs Thatcher sat on the low..."

So now we only need to find out whether they are Fletchers or Thatchers, simple. In chapter 10 "The Case" someone called Michael Fletcher is mentioned and in chapter 14 "New Beginnings" he is mentioned again, this time with news of his death. George is said to wear a black band to school as his brother had just died. So, therefore George's surname is Fletcher and Ginnie and Carrie's is Thatcher.

(There is more evidence of this as "Mr. Thatcher" comments that Carrie "ent even taken this here examination yet" as a response to the twins' mother asking about the uniform for Carrie going to highschool.
