NO - In reference to the above, I wouldn't unless you like unblocking drains, even liquid vegetable oil will wax (harden) below the ground where your pipes go and are a lot colder than outdoor temperatures. Even oil film (which floats on water remember so hangs around u bends) will be acted upon by bacteria and you will eventually end up with a hard plug of what looks like aerated chalky fat, ok, it won't happen in one day but you should not put any oil or fat down the drain, liquid or not. I would put it in a tin and put it in the bin or if you want to be greener - collect it and take it to a recyling centre where it can be used for biofuels. Sorry to the person above for contradicting your answer & for the long reply but I have unblocked several 6 inch underground pipes because of oil and/or fat deposits building up over time, it ain't a nice job even with professional equipment.

The only way to safely do this is to flush the garbage disposal immediately afterwards with boiling water -- as in, pour the grease down and then immediately pour a kettle or pot full of boiling water into the running disposal -- keep the hot water tap running as well, and leave the disposal running for a minute or so to make certain the grease is all dissolved.
