sesame oil can be a cooking oil, as can olive oil, canola oil, soybean oil, corn oil, peanut oil, almond oil and a variety of other plant based oils. they vary in effectiveness and flavor, as well as the temperature they are able to reach before flaming. when a recipe calls for cooking oil, it most frequently refers to vegetable oil, which is usually a blend of corn, canola and soybean oil. It is basically the cook's choice, based on preferences of caloric content, fat content and flavor. Substitutions are usually acceptable unless the oil is a key component of the recipe due to flavor, viscosity or temperature while cooking.
Sesame seed oil is extracted from sesame seeds, while sesame oil can refer to either toasted or untoasted versions of the oil. Sesame seed oil has a milder flavor and aroma compared to sesame oil, which has a stronger, nuttier taste. Sesame seed oil is commonly used for cooking and as a finishing oil, while sesame oil is often used for flavoring in Asian dishes and dressings.
it's darker,it tastes different, why wouldn't it It's darker because the seeds are toasted.
=Okay first you need to get sesame seeds. toasted or non toasted. non toasted works best in the type of preparation. Then, you pour in your / any type of oil you would like to use ( preferably Olive oil). then , let the oil come to a slight simmer, keep it on a low heat so it doest burn because then the taste mite seem bitter. when you are done, wait until the oil is cooled and then strain it completely of the sesame seed. HOPE MY ADVICE WORKS!!=
