Is it safe to eat expired dry cookie mix?

It would have to depend on the mix

Premade browny mixs (any premade mixes cake, cookie or otherwise) should NOT be consumed if they are expired many of these contain things such as eggs which can make you seriously ill if consumed after they go bad.

That being said if it is a dry, add everything yourself mix then most likely it is still good, I've personally used dry mixes upwards of 2 years past their date with little in terms of problems (rising mixes not rising) and they've still tasted

I always must stress, I can never tell if questions are jokes or not. I will answer it seriously, though.

Cookie dough is made of eggs, sugar, butter etc.

Rotten eggs are not entirely safe to eat, and gone off butter is not nice. It really depends on how expired the cookie dough is to be perfectly honest. If it has green bits of mould hanging off of it, I wouldn't try and eat it. But, it shouldn't do you MUCH damage, just give you a tiny bit of a stomach cramp if it is really badly off. So I wouldn't worry, although, if you feel incredibly ill and unable to do certain things, contact your local GP for expert advice.

I wouldn't reccomend it, ingesting something past due date especially 4 years ago could make you contract and illness or even result in death, but if it seems good enough to eat for you, go ahead.

The only ingredient that actual goes bad in cookie mix is the fat. It won't make you sick, but it may taste off since the fat may have gone rancid.
