I am a supernatural fan from what I was able to dig up is this was a tragic accident that Tim and his son got in a fight over his son taking the car without permission. Then Tims son went around the back to get his keys and wallet. Where him and Tim had an altercation which his son was protecting himself and punched Tim which knocked him out and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Tim played as a wide receiver in his younger years and anybody who's ever played sports or even boxed know those hits can be brutal and sometimes cause brain damage or damage in the head and spinal cord. I don't believe his son intended on what happened and that he died due to a Blow To The Head from a previous old injury. People that have played sports or know about any type of these head injuries know that they can go undiagnosed for decades and then with a slip or a fall or a Blow To The Head can be fatal even if it's a small one. I am a fan of Supernatural and it is a great loss of Tim. My friend is a neurosurgeon and says that no brain injuries are alike and many can go undiagnosed for decades. I am believe that this was a tragic case an accident of bad luck. People that know anything about traumatic head injuries I know that some of them can be so severe that one hit can kill you and you don't even know it I believe this is a detached retina of the brain.
