How do you catch Mewtwo in heartgold?

Mewtwo can only be caught in Leaf Green and Fire Red.After giving the Ruby & Sapphire to Celio on One Island go to Cerulean Cave at Cerulean city.Bring plenty of strong pokemon,items(escape ropes,full restores etc.)and Ultra Balls(save the Master ball for Suicune,Raikou & Entei.Agood idea is to save just before facing Mewtwo.Then,battle your heart out!Good Luck!

Mewtwo is Level 70, and is found deep in Cerulean cave. You will need Pokemon that are over level 60 to weaken it and withstand its attacks. (Mewtwo is weak against Dark, Bug and Ghost), and have at least one Pokemon that can paralyze (Thunder Wave, Stun Spore, etc.).

A useful move to have is False Swipe, it will leave the enemy at 1HP, and never kill it.

After it is paralyzed and has low HP, start throwing some Dusk Balls (if you are playing Gen IV) or other effective pokeballs, and you should be able to catch Mewtwo after some tries. The chance of catching legendary Pokemon is very low, so make sure you stock up on Pokeballs. he will also try to use power swap and guard swap.

Or you could throw a master ball at it.

First of all you need to beat the elite 4 and then catch a ferry to kanto. Then after you beat all the 8 gyms of kanto, fly to cerulean city. You should find a place called cerulean cave.Inside would be a maze, at the end of it, would be a lv 70 mewtwo, knowing - Psysco Cut, Gaurd Swap, Power swap and Anmesia. Migrate it from fire red, leaf green, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, or trade it from Diamond or Pearl from someone who already has one, or use action replay.

You just catch it in the Pokemon league. On the 300th Pokemon you battle there, the old Pokemon will faint and Mewtwo will appear. Catch it with a regular old pokeball.

* Don't attack Mewtwo or he will disappear!*

Trade it from fire red to emerald to diamond and catch it in pal park.

you can't get mew in soul silver. you can get mewtwo by beating the elite four and going to cerulean city, going across the bridge, turn left, go down using surf and follow stream. Then the cerulean cave will be open and you go through it and eventually find mewtwo.

You can catch mew in soul silver and heart gold but I don't remember where I caught him.
Mew is one of the few legendaries not catchable in HGSS. There was a Mew event but it has ended already.

First you need to talk to prof.oak after you have captured zapdos moltres and articuno or defeated them.then he will tell you there is one other Pokemon that is supperior then any Pokemon.then mew is where you battle red at mt silver.he will appear at level 80,its easy to capture it in a dusk ball

To get Mewtwo on Pokemon Soul Silver you must obtain all Kanto badges, you will gain access to the Cerulean Cave. Deep within the cave, like in FireRed & LeafGreen, you will find Mewtwo! Mewtwo is at level 70 so be sure to bring your strongest Pokemon! ^_^
