How do you get past guy to go to sunny shore city?

You must defeat Cyrus in the Distortion World @ Mt. Coronet after you beat the seventh gym leader and get rock climb. You must go to the spear pillar.

If you have Pokemon Diamond or Pearl you must catch/defeat Dialga or Palkia and on Pokemon Platinum you must catch Giratina, then exit go to the lab and speak to professer rowan.

find your way to spear pillar it's at the top of mount coronet go the eterna city way (look on the town map).

no don't go eterna city way. you have to go through from oreburg city. The Eterna city way will take you to either Snowpoint City or Celestic Town. You need Rock Climb Rock Smash and Strength.
