How do you catch Palkia in Pokemon platinum?

1. Win against Cyrus (galactic team boss ) He will give you a masterball.
2. Follow his instructions.
3. Go to Mt. Coronet.
4. Climb to the top to Spear Pillar. Beware wild Pokemon such as Bronzong.
5. Defeat Galactic Commanders Mars and Saturn in a Double Battle with your rival.
6. Watch the cut scene, if you want.
7. Defeat Cyrus for the second time.
8. Save your game before you talk to Palkia. This way, if you fail to catch it, you can start over.
9. Do NOT use your masterball. Palkia is easy to catch with a 30% catch rate it is the easiest legendary to catch ever. Use a Pokemon around Palkia's level Get its HP down to red and paralyze it if possible. Chuck an Ultra ball. Usually the first ball doesn't work and it breaks out straight away, but with no more than 5 ultra balls you will have caught it. Or maybe about 8 if you didn't paralyze it.
10. Run north to get an Orb that powers up Palkia's attacks

Well hopefully follow these instructions.

1.You must have the Hm Surf,Stregenth,Rock Climb,Rock Smash,(Defog if you want).

2.You must be able to use the HM's outside of battle complete the 7th gym to do that.

3.Hoplefully you saved Azelfs cave (Lake Valor)

4.You must of deafted Cyrus(Boss) in the galatic HQ in Veilstone to receive a master ball

5.Reach to the top of Mt Cornet (Tip:You must go through Hearthome's city way because the other routes are blocked most people told me that question)

6.Once you are att he top you will fave Mars and Juipter With your friend.

7.Then battle Cyrus again but stronger and evolved

8.Then you got to kill or catch Palkia.(Use the master ball when weakened to orange section)(BTW Palkia is a water and dragon type.ICE is very effective)

you need to beat the elite 4 then you talk to cinthyas grandmother then go to mt.cornet when you get to the waterfall swim on it then go up the waterfall there will be a cave go in the cave and there will be 2 items get both of them then go to spear piller but first you'll meet diagla then if you run or catch him go out of spear piller for just likr 1 sec then go back in you'll see a pink thing spining click on it and there's palkia you don't need action replay

You cannot catch Palkia on Pokemon Diamond and you cannot catch Dialga on Pokemon Pearl.
