I haven't heard about Bruce Lee receiving a sun belt. But to say that the belt itself made him "the best fighter ever" is ridiculous. He put into immense energy and time to perfect his ability. A belt is merely a label of skill (for instance beginner, second best fighter or the best fighter) and in itself it's obviously pretty meaningless. Bruce Lee was very clear that he was against labels and class division.

Bruce Lee was a real pioneer in the modern day martial arts, but he actually didn't have much interest in competing.
