In scientific terms, a "conclusion" is the final interpretation of findings based on available data. This does not mean that what one concludes is neccessarily correct - only that it fits the available facts. (For example, Aristotle concluded that men were more intelligent than women because men have more teeth. The data he gathered to make this conclusion was clearly faulty, and men and women have equal numbers of teeth. Nonetheless, if he counted the teeth of ten men and ten women, found men to have more on average, and then, upon testing the intelligence of each group found men to score higher by his standards, his conclusion was as accurate as could be given the data.)
