- low frequencies are radio frequencies below the AM radio band
- medium frequencies are radio frequencies spanning the AM radio band
- high frequencies are radio frequencies in the shortwave radio band
- very high frequencies are radio frequencies spanning the FM and low numbered TV channel bands
- etc.
