Most areas of the forest floor receive so little light that few bushes or herbs can grow there. Less than 1 % of the light that strikes the top of the forest penetrates to the forest floor. The top soil is very thin and of poor quality. A lot of litter falls to the ground where it is quickly broken down by decomposers like termites, earthworms and fungi. The heat and humidity further help to break down the litter. This organic matter is then just as quickly absorbed by the trees' shallow roots.Warm and wet describes the tropical rain forest climate. The average annual temperature is above 20° C; there is never a frost.Rainfall varies widely from a low of about 250cm of rain per year to about 450 cm/year.That means a range from about 8 to 14 feet of rain per year.

The main difference between wet tropical climates and tropical wet and dry climates lies in their rainfall patterns. Wet tropical climates, also known as tropical rainforest climates, receive high and consistent rainfall throughout the year, with minimal seasonal variation. In contrast, tropical wet and dry climates experience distinct wet and dry seasons, with significant rainfall during the wet season and a marked reduction in precipitation during the dry season. This results in different vegetation and ecosystems in each climate type.
It takes it from climates such as temperate forests and tropical rain forests.

Non-living things in a tropical rainforest include rocks, soil, water, sunlight, and air. These abiotic factors are essential components of the ecosystem that influence the growth and survival of living organisms in the tropical rainforest.
Some nonliving things in a rainforest are clouds, rocks, and soil. Soil is not neccesarily nonliving. The nutrients inside of it are living, but soil is not.
It is actually a poor soil and if the rainforest is removed it grows nothing .
