Can you take vicodin and hydroxycut at the same time?

Vicodin lowers your heart rate, so theoretically taking Vicodin with Phentermine would help balance the increased heart rate of the Phentramine. Im currently taking Adipex which is a form of Phentramine and the increased heart rate makes me uncomfortable, taking a vicodin helps calm it down and feels back to normal. It certainly does not speed up my heart even more.

I'm a teenager taking both and there is really nothing out of the ordinary from what my doctor tells me, though I have a regularly low heart rate. I've been taking phentermine for about three months now. Also, I have to take Vicodin 5500 4 times daily.

They're fine together unless you have an allergic reaction.

Like any drug, it depends entirely on each patient, as no two people are exactly alike. However, I've used both for years (see my Supervisor bio for more info) and when I began using higher doses of opiates on a regular, long-term basis, I found that Phentermine's stimulant effects helped offset the depressant effects of the opiates. But I believe I'm atypical of most patients.

Keep in mind that Phentermine can also increase the depressant effects in some people - again, it depends on the person and their tolerance to each drug. I'd used Phentermine for some time as a weight control drug before I had a to significantly increase my opiate dosages to much higher levels, so my body was already used to both in my system.

The key is how your body reacts to the increased heart rate and stimulation while using opiates. Opiates are vasodilators (they open blood vessels wider), so any stimulant that increases heart rate and blood flow increase the effect of what's already in your system. If you're not tolerant to it (significantly tolerant to opiates, meaning you're a regular user) it'll likely have an adverse effect.

If your doctor prescribed both, and he/she knows what you're taking, it's probably okay. If you're still hesitant, try half a dose of Phentermine (if you're using the tabs) to see how it affects you.

Always get your doctor's opinion - my pain doctor prescribed Phentermine as part of my monthly prescriptions (Duragesic, Percocet, etc). so he was aware of what I was taking and its effects. Remember that if you do something on your own without advice from a doctor, and something happens, you're labeled an idiot, or worse, a drug abuser. If you're doing it with doctor consent, and something happens, you're a victim of bad medical advice.

I guess it's depends on your doc. I take both. But the phen will be short term for me. My doctor says it's ok im going to try the phen. 2 nd day feel great. But i watch my pressure. Good luck
