A " normal" pressure is around 120/80. SO 168/98 is a little on the high side. I would seek a Dr. opinion. However there are several things that one can do in order to lower pressure without medications. I would search the net, it is a god send!
Itis just at the bottom of the stage 1 high blood pressure chart.
A normal blood pressure for a 55-year-old man is typically less than 120/80 mmHg. However, individual blood pressure targets may vary based on personal health history and risk factors. It is important for him to regularly monitor his blood pressure and consult with a healthcare provider to determine an appropriate target range.
The blood pressure, 148/88 is considered to be high, stage 1.
A systolic blood pressure of 166 is high for a 65 year old female. Talk with your health care provider to determine if you should work to lower your systolic blood pressure, given your particular health history.
Normal blood pressure = 120/80, your pressure is a little low and you probable feel a little dizzy when getting out of a hot bath. It's better to have a blood pressure that's a little low than a high blood pressure.

if you want to live than yea ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ask your doctor and if he/she says it is a big deal, than do it but if its not a big deal than dont =)
The first number is your systolic pressure, which is the pressure when your heart is contracting and pumping blood out. The second, lower number is your diastolic pressure, which is the blood pressure when your heart is relaxing and filling up with blood, not pushing any blood out. I think you've figured it out by now...blood being pushed out will be at a higher pressure, hence the higher first number :)
Blood can only enter an artery, be it the aorta, when the left ventricle contracts, or the pulmonary arteries, when the right ventricle contracts, which both occur at the same time after ventricular systole which is contraction. Therefore, the answer is contract.
I would go see your doctor about this. High blood pressure usually indicates that complications are possible. If your BP is normal when you lay down I suggest you put yourself on bed rest until you can go see a doctor. Take things easy, lay down as much as possible, make sure you take all your pre-natal vitamins, that way you and your baby will stay in the best health possible. Remember: go see your doctors asap
148 over 251 = 148/251. It cannot be reduced any further since the greatest common factor of 148 and 251 is 1.
148/192 in simplest form is 37 over 48
