Humans do not get foot and mouth disease - they do get something called HAND, foot, and mouth disease.
It is caused by a coxsackievirus. It is basically spread in the same fashion as the common cold, such as sneezing and releasing droplets in the air, touching something a contagious person had touched, coming in contact with saliva or other bodily fluids, and also by coming in contacting with a contagious person's stool.
Please note: this virus is usually seen by in young children.
There is no cure. You just have to be patient, it usually takes 7-10 days for the illness to leave
