Its usually not a good idea you should wait until after your period to take a test and if it is a normal periods you probably are not pregnant. Some women have periods while they are pregnant but it is usually light bleeding or don't last as long as usual, etc. It is a bit of a waste of money as having a period gives you a pretty good idea that you are not pregnant.
