"Blue baby" is an old-fashioned lay term for newborns with cyanotic heart defects. A cyanotic heart defect is one in which the patient is a bit blue in color (cyanotic) due to inadequate oxygenation of the blood. In cyanotic heart defects, this hypoxemia is due to inappropriate mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood in the heart. One possible cause is the vetricular septal defect (sometimes abbreviated VSD); a lay term for a VSD is a "hole in the heart."

It means a patient has gone into cardiac arrest.
baby blue
When a baby cries, their face may turn blue because they are not breathing properly. This can happen when they cry too hard and do not take in enough oxygen. The lack of oxygen causes their skin to appear blue, a condition known as cyanosis. It is important to monitor a baby's breathing and seek medical attention if their face turns blue when crying.
Baby blue is a light shade of blue. Things like a baby boy's room would be a baby blue. It's just a light shade of blue.
