I am primarily a manual Physical Therapist, which means I don't hook people up to a machine and leave the room. I work for an hour at a time, one on one with my patients, alligning vertebral dysfunction with Muscle Energy Technique. We will then move into any soft tissue restrictions. I'll use a variety of hands-on manual therpies here. Lastly, I am correcting the biomechanical problems that landed them in my office in the first place so the problem doesn't re-occur.

If a medical setting is more your style you can work in a hospital helping patients recover from injuries, like broken bones or even a stroke. Besides learning all about the human body, which is awesome, physical therapists can make a great deal of money.
