"Alcohol thins the blood, slows healing, and increases bruising. You should stop drinking at least 1 week before surgery, and abstain for 1 week after or longer if you are taking narcotic pain medications. http://www.beautysurg.com/learn/general_healing3.html " However, if the surgery is minor, you are a healthy individual and are not taking pain killers or antibiotics, one or two drinks a day is unlikely to have any significant impact on healing time.
