Not necessarily. I was curious about this myself ( I work in a drug treatment program) and tested my own urine. I've been on Adderall for a while now and take it as prescribed, fearful that it would show up positive. The test strips we have test for methamphetamine, and when i tested myself, i came up negative. Adderall is an amphetamine, but it has a different chemical structure. But, this may not be true for all drug tests.

∙ 9y agopositive for amphetamine, im guessing busted for meth, on probation, went to dr for adds alleviating legal issues? If you r prescribed your own script, bottle is empty, give probation drs name and number on day of testing, if it does test positive, po will know why and u can breath easy
