Okay, first understanding that "alcohol-free" beer actually DOES contain trace amounts of alcohol it it (1/2 of 1 percent). So technically it is not alcohol free. But here is the GOOD NEWS :
I have discovered that you can have 1 or 2 of these non-alcoholic beers and still be okay when taking the drug Flagyl (also called metronidzole). The alcohol content is so low that you will not get that terrible reaction if you consume it in extreme moderation (again, 1 or 2 bears at the most that day).
And while most alcohol-free beers taste like crap, I have discovered O'Douls Amber. You must get the Amber because it tastes okay (unlike the original O'Douls pilsner).
Of course, you won't get the buzz , but that is not the point. This amber O'Douls will offer you a little crutch so that you don't feel entirely deprived for the 7 or 10 days while medicated.
Try it. I did. It gave me a little satisfaction while I was on that antibiotic.
Yes
You should not consume alcohol while you are taking Flagyl or for at least three days after you have completed therapy, since the two can interact to cause serious side effects, including intense nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal cramps, flushing, and a racing heartbeat. In some cases, these side effects may even lead to heart or liver damage.
LOL obviously it hasn't got alcohol in it so it will be safe even if you drink alcohol with quite alot of prescription drugs it will be safe the medicine just won't work as good.
Flagyl or Metronidazole is not a Penicillin and does not work the same way. So unless you also have an allergy to Flagyl you do not have to worry. This drug is best taken after food or with a fatty meal.

Taking Flagyl (metronidazole) will not stop the effectiveness of your Depo-Provera shot. Flagyl is an antibiotic used to treat various infections, while Depo-Provera is a hormonal contraceptive that works independently of antibiotics. However, it's always best to consult with your healthcare provider about any medications you're taking to ensure there are no specific interactions or concerns.
