Short answer... I have no idea. But I've been looking on the web for products that claim to pass the test. From what I've read, these products such as "ultra wash toxin cleansing mouthwash" stop you from salivating and if you cant salivate then you cant show any traces within your saliva, if you know what I mean. anyhow, the following ingredients are found in one of the mouthwashes that claim to detox your tounge... Water, Glycerin, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera, Boron Citrate, Lithium Sulfate, Peppermint, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate I don't know about about the listerine strips, but listerine doesn't contain these ingredients. Further, listerine strips are likely to contain ethanol like the mouthwash and could put you at risk for blood alcohol levels. So, do they work? My guess is unlikely. I hope that helps! Dan

∙ 11y agoWell Yesterday . I had a drug test & I went in thinking it was a urine drug test, but it was a saliva drug test. Luckily I was drinking lemonade that I made from concentrated lemon juice. I had smoked the day before, so In my head I was freaking out. I sat down starting drinking my juice. Nervously swishing the juice around my mouth actually helped me pass the test ! So In my eyes . Yes it works . Just be sure to brush your teeth really good, but not just your teeth everywhere in your mouth . & Get a cup of lemon juice and pretend its mouth wash .

Will listerine help to pass a saliva drug test?
Sorry but as far as i know, you cannot. The swab test is basically removing cells from the inside of your mouth for testing.. Brushing your teeth and washing out your mouth, even with Listerine, unfortunately wont remove the cells but it will surely clean your teeth, freshen your breath and protect ya from gingivitis and that's worse than smoking.. My advice, don't be out and about where you will be caught questioned and tested. Just be responsible with anything ya do.
