You harvest marijuana by cutting the branches (with buds on them) off of the plants stem, then it's time to dry them. You do so by hanging the branches in a cool, dark, draft free place for about 3-5 days. After this, the buds should be dry enough to easily come off the branch-stems. Store the buds in a glass jar or a similar draft free container for another 3-5 days. Then they are ready for smokin'.

Male marijuana plants do not produce seeds. They produce pollen. To collect it (for breeding purposes) simply dry some mature male flowers. The yellow powder that comes from them is pollen.
