Is it just as hard to get off marijuana as heroin?

I cannot say personally because I have never smoked it and I became sick whenever around it, but numerous people have told me that it is not addictive. It is, however, habit forming, and may be hard to break as any other habit for some people.

Yes and no. It depends on how heavily you smoked. Firstly you won't suffer physical withdrawal symptoms though you may have some very vivid dreams for a week or two.

Marijuana can however can have a strong psychological hold if you are used to using marijuana to "enjoy" everyday activities and you will miss it but not for long. Giving up will improve your short term memory, motivation and your social life(instead of veging on the couch watching rubbish T.V). Smokers will probably disagree with me and while occasional use has shown little harm long term chronic use is not good for you, some people can toke occasionally but some who like it too much should avoid it.

Marijuana is not addictive. It is habit-forming as was stated above. There are very few issues when a smoker decides to quit. There may be a bit of irritability, initially. Quitting also tends to make people sweat more than they normally would. These things are short lived, however. The hardest thing about quitting marijuana is getting out of the habit of smoking it like you normally would.

I want to correct View Two, though. Marijuana does not make a person lazy. Many people use Marijuana for many things, including work, medical reasons, or stress relief. Personally, I have used for my work because I am in the creative field. Nothing gets me into a motivated and creative mode quite like Marijuana!

No. Marijuana can be stopped quite easily as long as the user really wants to. Heroin users will have major withdrawal symptoms for quite a while.
