in the old stone age, people didn't know how to farm. they survived by hunting and gathering; they were hunter-gatherers. people in the new stone age learned how to plant crops and how to tame wild animals and breed them. animals helped In hunting a lot. hope this helped :)ih
old stone age is the time before prehistory and the new stone age is the time during civilization and the time after history
In the Old Stone Age, people hunted and gathered food. In the New Stone Age, people learned how to farm and grow crops.
There is no such thing as a "Stone-", "Bronze-" or "Iron-Age" because these materials have been in use in nearly every human civilization. It might be fair to describe the Twentieth Century as an Aluminium (or Aluminum) Age but we use plastic, stone, bronze and iron as well.
In regard to Egypt, it is better to describe the place as pre-dynastic then dynastic. Broadly speaking, we can split the latter into the Old (or First) and New (or Last) Kingdoms. In between the two we have the nearly 500-year period of Hyksos-Amalekite domination. These phases then correspond quite nicely with the Biblical record which is far more reliable than modern Egyptology. That's why there is so much confusion. The Egyptologists have messed around with the dynasties and dates so that about 600 years of additional history have been added to the Egyptian record pushing it back to about 3000 BC. The pre-dynastic era was probably from about 2300 BC to 2100 BC (i.e., after the Great Flood 2450 BC). The first dynasties, contemporary with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, then Moses, ruled from about 2100 to 1485 BC. The Hyksos ruled from then to 1000 BC when David and Saul liberated the ancient Middle East from the renegade and anarchic Amalekites-Hyksos or "Shepherd Kings" (Amu-Melech). The last Egyptian dynasties, effectively or basically the 19th and 20th, controlled Egypt between the end of the Assyrian phase (i.e., from about 700 BC) and the Chaldean-Hittite-Kurdish-Kasdim invasion (Nebuchadnezzar) in circa 610-580 BC.
Al this is based on the reconstruction initially developed by Dr Immanuel Velikovsky. Various attempts to re-construct ancient Middle Eastern History have since been attempted (Peter James et al, David Rohl, Don Stewart and Emmet Sweeney). The work of these people makes it quite obvious that Egyptology should return to The Bible for its basic chronological framework. Essentially, the scribes of Ramesses II and Manetho managed to duplicate the first kingdom and its collapse as a "Middle Kingdom" to add a third dynastic phase. Our Egyptologists did not notice this and took the ancient Egyptian chronologists too seriously. Really, Egyptian history is six or seven hundred years shorter than is currently made out. In the context of the whole chronology of "ancient Egypt", let's say 2400 to 500 BC, that's a huge error (about 35%).
There was a big change between the tools of the old stone age (or Palaeolithic) the middle stone age (or Mesoltihic) and the new stone age or Neolithic.
In the old stone age, tools were mainly core tools - meaning that flakes of stone (usually flint or chert) were removed from a core until it was a biface tool with a sharp edge all around that could be used for tasks such as skinning and butchering game, and scraping hides.
In the middle stone age there was a major shift. Instead of knocking flakes away from a stone core and using the core as the tool, humans started knocking flakes off a core and using the flakes. The most important kind of flake was called a microlith and many of these small sharp points would be fitted into a wooden shaft to make an arrow or spear.
In the new stone age, people started making stone arrow heads and they went back to making axes as core tools, but this time they often polished the axes, perhaps using them for ceremonial purposes.
The difference is that the old stone age people ate raw everything and was around 2 million B.C and 8000 B.C. The new stone age people learned how to farm and herd animals and could cook food, also that was around 6000 B.C and 3500 B.C.
in the old stone age they all had the same jobs and in the new stone age they did. ex: hunters , farmers, people who make jewelry.the new stone age is really where civilization started.
During the old stone age they hunted and gathered.During the new stone age they farm
The Neolithic period is the last part of the Stone Age, see related link.
They used fire for protection, warmth, and cooking.
Made weapons out of stone.
They farmed.
old stone: were hunters n gathers new stone : demesticated animals
That new stones are bigger and smaller stones are older
The Paleolithic Era is the Old Stone Age. The Neolithic Era is the new stone age. "paleo" means old, and "neo" means new. "lithic" means stone age.
The modern world has a lot of new technology that did not exist in the stone age. As a result, virtually everything about human existence has changed.
The mesolithic age served as a border bridge between the old and new stone age.

I believe it was an ice age. Several ice ages are spread between the times.
Old stone age means where the people used to go for hunting , ate raw fruits and never cooked the flesh of hunted animals. Old stone age people led a nomadic life .Where as new stone age means where the people started agriculture , and developed many scientific knowledge and also they started to believe in the natural things . New stone age people led a settled life.
New Stone Age was known as Neolithic People . Old Stone Age People were known as Paleolithic people .
The old stone age became the new stone age by going through the middle stone age. The difference has to do with the way the tools were made. The new stone age began with bifurcated stone arrows and spear points. Bifurcated stone tools could also be adapted for agricultural purposes. Spears could be used as pruning hooks. Swords could be used as plowshares.
