Catherine of Aragon was banished from court in 1531. On 23rd of May 1533 Thomas Carnmer declared the marriage illegal at a special court convened at Dunstable Priory. Just five days later, on 28th May 1533, Canmer declared the marriage of Henry and Anne valid.

Correction, he was actually 19- they married in 1509, when Catherine was 24. She was the widow of Henry's elder brother Prince Arthur, to whom she was only wed for 5 months when he died in 1502 of what was then known as 'sweating sickness' (now known as hantavirus).
