there is no concrete evidence that something catastrophic will happen at the end of 2012 and destroy the world. the only indication that something might happen is the Mayan calender thingy.

When we have seen all the world events happen that are told about in the Bible, then the end will be very near. It could upset the balance of the Earth's weather, but with only one year left to fulfill end time criteria, I doubt it can be done in that amount of time.
