The killing of a large number of people is commonly referred to as a "massacre" or "genocide," depending on the context. A massacre typically involves the indiscriminate killing of individuals, often in a violent and brutal manner. Genocide, on the other hand, is a systematic and intentional effort to eliminate a particular group of people based on ethnicity, nationality, or religion. Both terms signify severe violations of human rights and are often associated with war and conflict.
