The Roman Army's primary weapon was the Pilum, or better know as a Javelin; and a Hasta, or a spear; they also used a Clipeus, which is a type of shield; Ocrea, or plated leggings; Galea, or a helmet; and the Gladius, a type of sword; Spatha, anouther type of sword; as well as the Pugio, or dagger; Composite Bows; Plumbata, or a throwing dart; Ballista, a large crossbow, Catapults; and a Tribulus, or basically modern day spike strips. There's pleanty of other weapons that were used and pry still lay undiscovered, but this is a list that the average Roman Army used.
