Because if the yanks marched into china the Russians would get the heehby jeebys and the next thing you know we would have another world war. Besides the Americans like to make money out of war and if they went on the offensive they would have to pay for it them selves.

∙ 15y agoThis is too obvious, guys. please think again; US had way more advanced woaponry than those Chinese troops; UN had over 10 countries involved vs China only( by the way, Soviet wasn't even in this war and North Korea didn't have the quality to fight at that time). It lasted literally 3 years but it ended up with a stalemate; MacArthur was not quite intelligent however certain Americans are(are we). Remember, we were stronger on the weapons and numbers though we didn't win, doesn't this prove everything---US lost the Korean War without any debates.
