Patriot --nickname Swampfox Revolutionary war kept the British out of the South
It wasn't that unique. Francis Marion (the Swamp Fox) was successful during the American Revolutionary War; Quantrill was successful during the American Civil War (US Civil War)...as two examples. Nearly all wars have had and will continue to have some sort of "guerrilla" warfare.
The swamp fox's actual name was Francis Marion. He made a small fighting force in South Carolina during the 1700's, harassing British troops. They would show up, attack the British, sabotage communication and supply lines, and rescue American prisoners. Marion was nicknamed "swamp fox" because after attacking the British, they would disappear into forests or swamps.
because he his in the swamps so the British couldn't find him
not
because north are communist. it doesn't matter how muck they work. they got same paying. so they lost their passion to work. However south is democracy. They get their money as they work. And south people desire to live better.

There are no records of Francis Marion having any children with his wife/cousin, however, he did have a reputation for raping his female slaves, so it is very possible that he had illegitimate children.
no he did not, but he did rape his slaves so there is a possibilty he had children they just wouldn't be on record i guess
because he his in the swamps so the British couldn't find him

Francis Marion was a patriot in the American Revolutionary War. He had gained military experience in the French & Indian War. His place of warfare was in the southern area of the 13 British colonies in particular his home in South Carolina. As a leading commander against the British, he found that he and his forces were so often out gunned and out numbered in fighting the British. Being so familiar with the swamp lands of the South and lacking a huge army, he resorted to what today would be called guerrilla battle tactics against the armies of King George. His men would ambush British marching armies, strike from unexpected areas and then retreat by blending into the landscape. His forces were always on the move and impossible for the British regulars to fight in their normal European style.
He was a commander that planned sneak attacks on the british and then disappearing into the swamps with his troops. He was so good at this because he had been in the swamps for the most part of his life. This is how he earned his nickname The Swamp Fox.
Oh, dude, when Francis Marion says that promises you make to yourself are like Japanese plum trees, she means they're basically useless. Like, you can make all the promises you want, but if you don't follow through, they're just empty words. So, it's like planting a plum tree and expecting it to magically grow mangoes. It ain't happening.
