There is no specific date as to when Mandela, "stopped racism." However, a free vote was taken in 1994, and then Mandela became president. There is still some remaining racism in South Africa, like all places, but the amount has definitely decreased dramatically after Nelson Mandela took charge.

He fought against racism because it encouraged and promoted racial superiority between one racial group over another. Such an act would result in one race group being denied their fundamental human rights. Mandela then dedicated his entire being along side his comrades to fight against such a heinous system which sought to prey on the masses of our people, whom it had made powerless like a dreadful vampier.Racism is a problem which is not restricted to a particular country or area.
