spray with insect killer OR spray the queen.
The house of ants is called a nest. Ants build nests to live in and store food, raise their young, and protect their queen. The nest can be located underground, in a mound of dirt, or in tree bark, depending on the ant species.
You just smash it.
you probably don't want to go and kill the queen, because they always have another "second in command", if you will, and she is ready to take over. i know this sounds far-fetched, but it's true! my family had an ant problem and this is what the exterminator said. so you have to find the nest and get the exterminator to kill them. or, if you want to do it yourself, you can spray wasp killer at them.(ant killer doesn't work as fast). try it! The queen ant is most likely under floorboards or in the walls making babies with worker ants. thus, creating little black ant babies. to kill her you need alot of pesticide. 1. spray the pesticides in all cracks in the house 2. set up mouse traps for the very big ants 3. pray that it works
You need to find the carpenter ant nest in order to get rid of them. Spraying yourself or having a company do so will only kill the worker ants who are away from the nest. Once the nest is found, use non-repellent pesticides to kill them all.
tree ant
underground
yes it make a nest. they make a nest like an ant.
in a hole or a nest
Ant
Go to any store.... get ant poison... and set it up along one of the walls of your house... (ants normally do most of their traveling against the walls)... but! the hardest thing about this is if you see an ant, don't squash it!!!! because the ant will carry the poison back o it's nest, or hive, or whatever you would like to call it, and spread it to the other ants.
The only way to kill a colony of farrow ants is to kill their queen. You can try pesticides that you can purchase at any store but you need to apply it directly to the nest or ant hill.
You have to kill the queen first.Once you do that, the drone ants will die of starvation. You can kill the queen ant by sprinkling grits all over the ant hill. The queen ant will eat it, then die.
